The cover art for Joy Division's Unknown Pleasures is one of the most iconic album covers of all-time, but the graphic is much more than just a cool diagram. The original work included radio signals from a pulsar captured in the 1960s. I made this print as a tribute to that work, and like that cover art, this print features meaningful data. Here you can see the unique shooting signatures of the NBA’s top 10 scorers from each of the last 10 seasons.
My favorite aspect of this print is how it shows that the midrange has faded out over time, and as players like Dirk Nowitzki gave way to scorers like Trae Young you can also see how many of today’s top scorers are shooting a lot of shots from distances that were considered crazy just 10 years ago.
Sized at a comfortable and easily readable 18" x 24", Giclée printing quality on durable 189 gsm matte paper. Frame not included.
