"Baseball is beautiful, and I made the Pastime National Park map as a tribute to all of the incredible athletes and moments that it has carved into the American consciousness. The landscape of the ballfield is a beautiful cartographic canvas, and it was important to me to place labels and symbols in appropriate places. I've tried my best to honor the greatest players, managers, and broadcasters throughout the composition. Icons like Jackie Robinson, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig are well-represented here, but so are modern stars like Mike Trout, Pedro Martinez, and Shohei Ohtani. I hope you like it."
